Gino D’Acampo’s co-star Gordon Ramsay breaks his silence after Italian chef caught with cannabis
GORDON Ramsay has broken his social media silence after his TV co-star Gino D’Acampo was caught with cannabis in his luggge.
The Sun revealed Gino, 46, was given a warning when sniffer dogs alerted Border Force following filming in Spain.
It came after Gino had left Gordon’s private jet .
Gino’s airport drug bust came just weeks before he quit his telly road show with Gordon and Fred.
Yesterday, Italian Gino broke his silence and now The F Word chef Gordon, 56, has done the same.
Ignoring the scandal, he took to his Instagram Stories to post a snap showing him standing by the sea in a bright t-shirt and shorts.
Gordon added the caption: “Great to be back in Kona!
“Many @IronManTri memories here.”
Kailua-Kona is on the west coast of Hawaii.
Gordon then showcased a selection of the food he has been sampling on his trip.
This weekend, Gino also ignored the drama as he shared a shocking video of a couple working out.
“Oh he’s working on his abs, very nice,” said Gino.
The Italian telly chef then gasped as he watched the woman be grabbed in her private parts as she was lifted into the air.
“I’m going to guess that’s his wife,” Gino laughed.
“Look he’s smiling, the dirty…”
He captioned the post: “This reminds me, I must go back to the gym… GDx.”
Border Force pulled over the Italian chef after he touched down in Britain on Ramsay’s private jet following filming in Spain.
Sniffer dogs are said to have started circling him as he arrived with Gordon and Fred at the airport, a regular stop-off for the rich and famous.
Cannabis was then found in a small box inside the Family Fortunes presenter’s luggage.
Officers accepted it was for his own medicinal use — not intended for anybody else — and issued him with a warning.
Gino was stopped, cautioned and fined for possession of a prohibitive substance, namely cannabis.
But he was not arrested.
Gino had been in Spain filming Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip. A source said last night: “Fred and Gordon were pretty cross.”
The news comes after the dad of three blindsided ITV bosses last month by quitting Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip amid “stressful” contract talks.
Gino said he did not want “stressful” contract talks to ruin his friendship with co-stars Gordon and Frenchman Fred, 51,
He wrote on Instagram: “The reason is simple — nothing to do with Gordon and Fred, the friendship is very strong. It’s just because we can’t get the dates together. When contracts start to get very complicated, then it becomes very stressful.”
