A TikTok star Patricia – who goes by the username Patricia.cnr – posted a video teaching people how to turn awkwardness into confidence “when you mess up.”

TikTok star Patricia has more than 1.5million followers who watch her give tips on how to be confident.

In her TikTok, she pretended to spill a drink on herself and acted embarrassed.

That is exactly what you don’t want to do.

“When you mess up, don’t act embarrassed!” she wrote in her TikTok video.

Instead, she encourages people to stay playful and laugh at their mistake.

In another one of her TikTok videos, she gives advice on how to start a conversation.

“Start with a genuine compliment. ‘I like your hair, jacket, style, energy, etc.'” she wrote in her TikTok video.

From there, you can shift to other topics.

An easy way to assert yourself can be as simple as changing the tone of your voice.

“When you’re in a conversation, end your sentence on a flat tone (instead of going up),” Patricia says in her TikTok video.

These are easy and great tips to build confidence.

Patricia reminds her followers to also not over apologize.

Saying “sorry” too often can ruin self-confidence.

Only apologize when you are at fault and truly mean it, she says.
