But Alfie describes how prejudice and hostility in the classroom spoilt his time there.

In the film the businessman, said to be worth round £741 million, has spoken about how he was ignored by pupils during his school days because he was a gypsy.

He said: “You’d get schools where the teachers would tell the kids in the class that you were a gypsy.

“One time I became quite friendly with a boy in school. The next day he didn’t want to speak to me because the teacher had told him I was a gypsy.”

Alfie said that has often forced to fight other boys in the playground who picked on him because has a gypsy.

In the documentary Alfie revealed how members of the traveller community resented the fact that he went to school, so he was caught between two worlds.

Alfie was called a “gorger boy” by other travellers who felt that he was not really one of them because he went to school.

The term “gorger” is gypsy slang for an outsider or stranger.

The exciting new doc gives a unique insight into Alfie’s humble beginnings, including being born in a caravan at the side of the road, and how he turned it all around to become one of the wealthiest men in the country.

He also revealed how he nearly lost everything and was sleeping in his van before taking drastic action to get back on track.

Meanwhile, Alfie’s mum Jane, explained how she knew her son would be a millionaire from day one.

Alfie’s daughter Elizabeth, 27, also features in the film, when she discusses following in her dad’s footsteps after dropping out of school aged 11.

Alfie hopes to become the gypsy community’s first billionaire next year.
