INFAMOUS porn star, Max Hardcore has died at age 66.
The actor, whose real name was Paul Little, died from septic shock and pneumonia.
Known for his extreme and degrading scenes, Little had been receiving radioactive iodine treatment during his year-long battle with thyroid cancer.
“He was almost at the finish line for the chemotherapy,” said Little’s manager Paul Munoz.
“He went in and did the surgery and he didn’t want to spend the weekend at the hospital so he came back home and that’s when things went south for him,” he added.
“His wind tunnel ruptured and air started going into his neck and his neck started swelling up.”
Munoz added that Little had recently gotten an infection in his throat that “wiped him out because his immune system had not recovered from the last time in December.”
Even in his poor health, Little continued working in the adult entertainment industry until his cancer diagnosis.
During a nearly three-decade career, Little performed extreme scenes that included depictions of abuse and other extreme kinks.
He earned himself more than 500 performing credits and 360 credits as a director.
He and his production company, Max World Entertainment, were indicted by a grand jury in Tampa, Florida in May 2007 on charges of distributing obscene matters through the US mail.
He was sentenced to 46 months in prison in 2008, however, he still had several supporters who believed that the charges were unjust – earning him a reputation as a champion of free speech.
Still, many reviled Little for alleged abuse he inflicted on his performers, reported Daily Mail.
Feminist Julie Bindel said she celebrated Little’s death, tweeting: “He tortured and abused numerous women for his own sadistic pleasures and in the production of pornography.
“I don’t believe in evil, but the feeling I got when I was once within hearing distance of this bastard was that I was in its presence.”
