THE QUEEN has pulled out of an important historical event for the first time in her 70 year long reign, calling Prince Charles to take over.
This year her Majesty the Queen will not be attending Scotland’s Braemar Gathering, an important tradition part of the Highland Games.
Prince Charles will be taking over for the Queen, after she pulled out over mobility concerns.
The monarch had previously announced that she will not be leaving Balmoral to say goodbye to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Instead, on 5 September, her Majesty will appoint the new Prime Minister from the comfort of her own Balmoral home.
It has been reported that Queen Elizabeth is “resting” a lot more following a “change” in her mobility.
A source told the Daily Mail that the Queen’s mobility “condition” is not “ideal,” but she is doing well considering her Majesty is “96 after all.”
